Penn State Women’s Soccer standout Sam Coffey has officially signed with NWSL club Portland Thorns FC. Coffey who played with NYSC’s Girls 97’ team finished her collegiate career at Penn State with 102 career games including 101 starts! During her career with the Nittany Lions she tallied 42 goals and 54 assists, making her just one of 50 members in NCAA Division I soccer to reach 40 goals and 40 assists in their career! This great form has earned Coffey two All-America honors including one she earned after a successful sophomore season with Boston College.
