Reflecting on Fall & Looking Ahead to 2025

As we wrap up the busy Fall season, I hope you all had a restorative and restful break with family and friends. The Winter period is a great time for reflection and improvement, and that's exactly what we're doing. Our coaches are finalizing player development reports to help players focus on areas for improvement. Once the coaches deliver their feedback, we encourage each player to make the most of the winter period by reinforcing strengths and working hard on areas of development. The process of individual player development is crucial for us to achieve our goals of a high-level playing style and competing against the toughest opponents in the area.

In the highly competitive landscape, we are always looking to position the club at the forefront of player development and playing at the highest levels of competition. In keeping with this principle, we were thrilled to announce our alliance partnership with Gotham FC for our elite female players. This partnership will provide a professional pathway for our players to be identified for training and playing opportunities with Gotham FC. The age group focus will be high school-aged players. MLS Next and Girls Academy also announced a strategic partnership to work closely together on showcases, tournaments, and coach education opportunities. The implementation of this partnership between the two leagues will begin in 2025.

Upon your return to play this January, I want to thank you again for your flexibility during this challenging winter season without the bubble. We will be back at Ophir as soon as weather permits, and the bubble will return for next winter season. In closing, I want to personally thank you for entrusting us with the privilege of teaching your children and guiding them through their soccer journey.
