NYSC Position Specific Program

NYSC is offering the NYSC Position Specific Clinics as a specialized training opportunity for players to develop the specific skills needed for mastering the unique skills needed at all positions of the game. From striking the ball, making runs, sending players through, or making a world-class save to keep your team in the game, this program will prepare your athlete for what the beautiful game has to offer. 

The NYSC Position Specific Clinics offers players the opportunity to train and develop through position-specific curriculum while being led by licensed NYSC coaches and Directors in addition to our MLS Next & Girls Academy League coaches. Sessions will be held on the indoor turf field, at Ophir Field. 

Science of Scoring - develop ball striking technique, shooting and finishing, positional understanding, decision making 

Mastering the Midfield -  develop awareness, decision-making, movements, passing and receiving, and appropriate positioning and communication skills

Art of Defending- develop defensive principles, positional understanding, decision-making, communication, and awareness

The Complete Keeper- develop footwork, handling, correct dive techniques, distribution, communication, and organizational skills.
